Gas-Powered Wasp
So I woke up this morning to a wasp-nest-type sound — a crazy loud buzz that could only mean trouble. I peeked out the window to see nothing; so I figured that it must be coming from the nearby freeway or some local construction. It turned out to be a helicopter... and not just one, but four helicopters hovering over my neighborhood. My first thought was that OJ must have killed someone else ‐ news helicopters love a good freeway chase. Turned out to be a gun battle that closed down the 91 East between Anaheim and Fullerton. According to the local news, the shooting injured a cop and an innocent bystander... and killed the guy that started the mess. The freeway was shutdown from about midnight to 9:00 AM... I assume that the helicopters hovered the entire time. What would American television be without on-location reports? Put the giant wasps away and give me Google any day.
