Apple Battery Recall
It appears that Apple is recalling batteries for their laptops as well — manufactured by Sony. If you own an Apple laptop check out their site for more info.

Mine was on the recall list - 4 to 6 weeks for delivery and they say not to use the battery. I hope it comes sooner.
The Dell battery was here within a week. I assume that Apple can match Dell in service, so you need not worry.
My only concern is that they don't have that many new batteries to send out since they no longer make/sell the iBook. They have to still have some but maybe not as many? Who knows - I hope the 4 to 6 weeks was just to cover in case it does take that long but that it actually won't.
Will the iBook operate without a battery (i.e. plugged into the wall)?
