Lazy
I don't remember what I did today. I just feel relaxed... so it must have been a good day.
I don't remember what I did today. I just feel relaxed... so it must have been a good day.
After setting up a networking, installing VNC, packing the car, and eating two meal... we made it on the road early and beat most the traffic. We hit a little coming back, but nothing too bad at all.
Got to meet a friend from the internet today. I have know him so long that I really forgot that I had not met him face-to-face. He hung out and had coffee. Even walked around the micro mall in Visalia.
After knowing someone online for 5 years... there really wasn't anything different about him than what I knew him to be. I find that to be an odd thing, but a good thing.
Strange day and good food. Thing that made it strange was Andrea's grandpa did not have seconds. I thought the world was going to stop.
One more day until we all so full of turkey that all there is left to do is nap... and nap a lot.
Finally, got that print job out to press today. It took an insane amount of work... and an insane amount of trouble shooting. Even at the point of printing.
I also stopped in by my old job. I am so happy to not be there. I feel bad for anyone that ends up there. It is just so bad.
I spend the whole day transfering something from PowerPoint to a brochure for print. First of all, PowerPoitn was created by the devil. Second, computers are the devil. Third, I wanted to be a farmer, but someone told me this was the future.
A much shorter day, but still a day at Disneyland.
A long, long day of Disneyland. I am so tired. So very tired.
The sun has been hiding for the past few days. I think winter is here. I am not really sure, because I am still wearing t-shirts. Looks like winter... just doesn't really feel like it. Maybe it is just fall?
Knowing is half the battle of technology. The next step, the difficult step, is understanding. To use technology to its fullest, you need to be dedicated enough to want to understand why and how it does what it does.
Personally, I believe the limits of technology are right near limitless. The possibilities of technology and current technologies are worthless unless people know about it.
An once people know about it, they have to be convinced to use it... and sometimes buy it. This just does not make sense to me. If there is something out there that can make a task easier, faster, or cheaper; I want to be using it.
People should be seeking out technology daily. Don't wait for it to come to you. If you wait, you will be buying it later. If you join on that "bleeding edge", you will get it free or cheap.
I am not sure how this post turned into a rant. Hmm. Odd.
Swanky: Adj. - Imposingly fashionable and elegant; "a swank apartment".
Ong and I needed stamps. We needed stamps for about 2 weeks. Who would have thought that would both go out and bring home 100 stamps on the same day. Needless to say, we don't need stamps anymore... nor will we for a very long time.
What an amazing thing to see, the sunset tonight was just beautiful. I have not bothered to watch in quite some time. I get a great view of the sun setting right past the Orange County Airport. Tonight the sun was bright red... I was in awe.
So I was getting a cup of coffee, and someone says my name. I think to myself that it sounds a lot like my boss. I turn around to find my boss standing and waiting to get a cup of coffee.
It turns out that he was supposed to be there all along. Where was I for this memo, I ponder.
I am just grateful that I have a good work ethic. I had already been there for a few hours and was busy working away.
Happy Birthday to Tony, my father-in-law!
Had to rush home from work today. Ong decided to attempt cutting her finger off. Fortunately, she only cut the tip (and not off). I hate being 30-45 minutes away from the house. The traffic just seems twice as slow when you have an emergency to get to.
This office mine for the next week. This means less shaving, less concern about wrinkles, and louder music.
Productive times ahead.
I had the most fun canasta games of my life last night. I laughed so much and so hard that I still hurt this morning. While I did lose to the Aussies, I had a great time. Greek food, Australian wine, and canasta... does it get better?
It appears that a lot of people get this holiday off. The freeway was light on traffic and my building is just about empty.
I was going to call and talk to the insurance companies today, but they are closed. The post office is closed and the banks are as well. There is not much hope for people to be productive today. At least the internet still works on holidays.
Had a meeting in San Diego this morning. It rained a bit on the way... other than that, I am still in awe of how there are no seasons in San Diego. It is just San Diego weather all the time. I would not mind living there at all.
Really did not get as much done today as I would have liked. Did a whole lot of laundry and a lot of resting.
Ong was not feeling well, so we watch two movies - Crossroads and Finding Nemo.
Happy birthday to my boss, Ben. To celebrate we all spent the day at the Getty and downtown Hollywood. Good times.
I was on my way to Office Depot and next to me at the stop-light was the Batmobile. The real one from the original Batman show. Never would you think you were going to see the Batmobile while running errands for work. Craziness. Random craziness.
Just in case you were thinking it, no. Batman was not driving.
I am still spinning Jet and still diggin' it. I only wish they had more CDs.
The plan was to buy a few books... but it turned into bowling, eating, drinking, and losing.
The wife and I decided to hit up Border's at The Block to pick up a few software books... and next thing you know, we were sucked into the swankiest bowling alley ever created. We ate and drank... and my wife kicked my butt. Not once, but twice.
Sticking to the plan is boring.
Very, very good CD... yeah, good.
Me and the Mercmobile had a tangle with another car this morning. Minor damage and no one is injured. The other guy was at fault. He backed out of a parking spot into my car. Just ruined my mood... and that is the worst of it..
Currently, I am on-hold with the insurance company.
