Nothing But Cheesecake

If you went to a place called the Cheesecake Factory, what would you expect to get there? A burger and fries? Well, that is what I got. I am in awe of this place. They name themselves after dessert, but serve just about anything you can imagine. I do not know who thought that up... I just know that I never would have.

Follow Your Fire

Passion is a beautiful and powerful thing... if you can find it. Lately, I am having a hard time getting out of bed. It is difficult to figure out how to have the passion for anything... or to finish small tasks. So my goal is to get back "on track" by the end of the week.

I do not believe in sitting around waiting for motivation to come find me. I am looking for it.

Six Short Years

Today is six years that Ong and I have been "dating". It honestly feels like yesterday.

Happy anniversary, babe.

0 to 30,000

For those of us that spend our lives behind the wheel, I feel it is appropriate to measure life in miles. What have I done in the last 30,000 miles?

I moved to Southern California. I have had five jobs. I have lived in three homes. I have purchased or acquired three more computers. I have purchased two pieces of software. I have lost a friend and gained a few more. I have been to the hospital three times. I got a dog (or my wife did anyway). I have written my first screenplay. I got married. I have been to Hawaii. I bought a skateboard. I have put on fifteen pounds. I went back to school. I have owned four pairs of shoes. I have painted my first painting. I have enjoyed every mile.

What am I going to do in the next 30,000 miles?

These are my hours for today. Nothing like a little 16 hour day.

What War?

I am checking out CNN.com a few times a day, but I just do not want to get wrapped up in this war stuff like many a person I know. Be informed and having an opinion is different than not having a life. Life goes on while war goes on.

Flying Trash

The storm has passed over the Southland... and it leaves us with a mighty wind. I have never really paid any attention to the amount of trash... until it goes flying about. I got nailed by a bag on the way to my car. The freeway is a benign wonderland of flying trash as well. It is hard to tell what is flying at you until it is clinging onto your antenna. Just scary.

Starting Over

It is busy season again. The next five weeks is going to be filled with working insane hours. As of today, I will be working an earlier shift... which means getting up early. My favorite.

Holding On

This cold just won't let go. I am still feeling better, but you would not be able to guess it by looking or listening to me. I sound like I have a frog stuck in my throat... ironic?

I am working like a mad person. I have volunteered for a few projects at work... and been volunteered for a few more. I am happy that I get to use my web knowledge. I would love to be the head of a web development group... in fact, that might be my new career goal.

This coming weekend, Ong and I have a video to edit... I miss video projects. The income level has not risen high enough to get an editor yet... but I hope to get one soon.

Emily Victoria

On Sunday morning at 12.48a, my friend and his wife had a beatiful little girl. She weighed in at 8 pounds 9 ounces... and 20 inches long. She and the mother did well and are perfectly healthy. Congrats!

I will be posting pictures when I develop them.

Back From The Dead

Nearly three weeks ago, I got a cold. I am just now starting to feel better. I have this great sounding cough... but am feeling better.

Sadly, I have gotten my wife ill. She is home feeling everything but lovely. I feel so bad. This is one bummer part about being married. You are almost guaranteed to get your spouse ill if you have a cold or the flu.
