Tell Me Why

When did it become popular to label your car? I am developing a new pet peeve. There is something that irks me about a Silverado with the whole back window taken up by a decal informing me that the Chevy Silverado that I am looking at is powered by Chevy. If you are going to put a large decal on your car... why on earth would you tell me something that I already know? Rice rockets are the most common offenders... if it is a Honda Accord, why a big red decal that says "Honda" over the whole rear window? Why? I even saw a Dodge Neon on the way home last night with a huge decal announcing to the world that is was powered by a 1.3 liter Dodge engine. Why would you spend good money to tell the planet that your car has the smallest stock engine that Dodge makes... in your Dodge Neon.

I hate beer-guzzling idiots, but I feel the money would be better spent on a keg versus a large decal stating the obvious.
