Want to talk about a depressing night? The three guys that make me who I am on the internet... they are gone... not forever, but for a lng while. Who are these guys and what was their influence?
Shinter: He always seemed to pull these crazy designs that were not quite possible with the web. His style was always right up my alley... I never wanted to copy him, but I wanted my style to be as clear as his. In the same way that I can looka t his stuff and say, "Shinter was here."... I wanted people to see my designs that way. It appears as though inspiration as reached zero for the time being.
CodeArtist: This guy lived up to the name. He was the first site that I happened onto in my search for the beauty of the internet. He has been gone for a while... but it rumored to be returning in a year. His style was always simple... and perfectly placed. If I am not mistaken, his site was the first place that I saw CCS used... used well.
Assembler: The god of DHTML in my opinion... I never wanted to learn so much about code... He has been oofline for about a year now... and until I checked his site a few seconds ago... it was sounding like he was going to be gone forever.
May 1st Reboot. It appears as though a lot of offline sites are going to be coming back online... check it out.
